Chira Weyant, 36, Injured in Two-Car Crash on Southbound Hwy 63 in Boone County
Boone County, Missouri (December 19, 2017) – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a woman sustained moderate injuries following a collision with a sports utility vehicle Thursday morning in Boone County.
The MHP identified the female driver as 36-year-old Chira Weyant, of Kirksville.
The crash took place at about 7:40 a.m. Thursday, December 14 on southbound Highway 63 about 1000 feet south of Rolling Hills Road.
Troopers stated that Weyant was trying to make a left turn from the driving lane of southbound 63 when she struck an SUV driven by 39-year-old Anna Luecke. The SUV then crashed onto the cable median barrier.
Weyant was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.
Both cars were totaled in the incident.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
