Chauncey Tucker Killed in Crash involving Plow and Vehicle in South Holland

South Holland, Illinois (January 12, 2018) – A boy was killed and three people hospitalized after a crash in South Holland Friday morning, authorities said.

The crash happened around 2:41 a.m. Friday, January 12, at Woodlawn Avenue and 162nd place.

According to authorities, the crash involved an Illinois Department of Transportation snowplow and another vehicle.

The 15-year-old boy, Chauncey Tucker, was declared dead from his injuries at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey at 4:19 a.m. Tucker’s death was ruled an accident.

Plow’s driver and two others were transported to hospitals, police said.

Police are yet to know whether alcohol was a factor.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
