On Thursday, October 4, 39-year old Carl Norris of Salem, MO, and 25-year old Tyler Dennison, of Bixby, were both badly injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 32, 3 miles west of Bixby in Iron County.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:45 AM when Mr. Norris’s 2003 Buick Regal crossed over the center line before striking Mr. Dennison’s 1995 Chevrolet 1500 head on.
Neither party was wearing their safety belt at the time of the collision, and authorities are investigating whether or not this may have contributed to the extent of the injuries sustained by both men.
According to the official crash report Mr. Norris suffered serious, life threatening, injury and had to be rushed to Salem Memorial Hospital via local EMS for life saving emergency medical intervention. Mr. Dennison was also transported to Salem Memorial via EMS for further observation and treatment.
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
No other parties were injured in the collision.
