Three were injured in a Clay county car wreck in the early evening of April 28th. The accident occurred at the intersection of Missouri State highway 92 and Route DD. Mr. Kanyon Vanegdom, 18, of Kansas City, MO, was stopped at a stop sign when he attempted to make a left-hand turn. The Hathaways, both of Smithville, MO, struck Mr. Vanegdom mid maneuver. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Mr. Vanegdom and Mr. Hathaway both suffered minor injuries, while Mrs. Hathaway suffered moderate injuries. All three were transported to Liberty Hospital for treatment and later released.
