Lebanon Man Brian Teubner Killed and Woman Injured in Major I-44 Crash near Halltown
Halltown, Missouri (December 27, 2017) – A man was killed and his wife injured after a vehicle got detached from a trailer on Interstate 44 causing a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on I-44 near the Halltown exit ramp on Tuesday, December 26.
A Jeep Wrangler was being hauled by a trailer pulled by a truck and traveling westbound on I-44 when the Jeep got detached from its fifth wheel trailer and crashed into the median cables.
The Jeep went airborne into the eastbound lanes, struck the back of a tractor-trailer and landed onto an SUV, driven by Brian Teubner, 37, of Lebanon.
Teubner was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, Megan Teubner, 42, was rushed to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Terry Roberts, 69, of Elkland was identified as the driver of the truck pulling the fifth wheel trailer with the Jeep.
