On Friday, May 18, at approximately 3 pm Barbara D. Abney, 73, of Aurora and William Proctor, 80, of Columbus, GA, were both injured in a traffic accident on Missouri State Highway 265, just east of Marionville. The accident began when Timothy Villani, 60, of Aurora, merged into Ms. Abney’s lane of travel too soon, causing her to collide with the back of his vehicle. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the parties suffered moderate injuries and had to be transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, where they were held for observation and further treatment.
