Two Hospitalized after Grundy County Tractor-Trailer Accident on U.S. 65
Grundy County, Missouri (January 26, 2018) – A driver and her passenger were injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Tuesday morning in Grundy County, MSHP said.
The accident happened at around 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, January 23 on U.S. Highway 65, about four miles south of Trenton.
According to troopers, a 2007 Kenworth tractor driven by Cale W. Hitt, 19, of Derby, Ia., was traveling southbound on U.S. 65 towards Southeast 50th Street when Hitt failed to slow down for traffic and swerved into the northbound lanes, colliding with a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, being driven by Madison L. Imgarten, 26, of Chula.
Imgarten and her passenger, Ava H. Ireland, 4, of Chula, were both transported to Wright Memorial Hospital. Imgarten was treated for minor injuries and the child was treated for moderate injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
