Johnson County, Missouri (January 9, 2018) – A teenager was injured on Monday morning when her vehicle slid and rammed into the rear of another vehicle in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at around 11:25 a.m. Monday, January 8, on Missouri 131 just north of Northwest 50th Road.

Troopers said Ashley N. Harmon, 18, of Holden was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Missouri 131 when her vehicle began to skid and crashed into the back of a 2013 Peterbilt that was stopped on the highway.

Harmon was hospitalized at Lee’s Summit Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver of the Peterbilt, Dale R. McConville, 39, of Warrensburg, was not hurt in the crash.

The Chevrolet was towed from the scene with total damage by Ron’s Tow.
