Antoinette Torti Seriously Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on US-61 in Lincoln County

Lincoln County, Missouri (January 16, 2018) – An Illinois woman was sent to a hospital Sunday night following a crash with a semi-truck in Lincoln County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle collision happened at around 7:50 p.m. Sunday, January 14, on U.S. 61 north of Route B.

Police said Antoinette M. Torti, 46, of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, was driving a 2007 Chrysler T&C northbound on U.S. 61 when she noticed a 2012 International Prostar pulling out of a private driveway onto the highway.

Torti attempted to move left from the right lane to avoid a crash but the passenger side front of her vehicle collided with the rear of the truck.

Torti suffered serious injuries and was rushed to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis.

The driver of the truck, James D. Mcneil, 62, of Evergreen, Al., was unhurt.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Jackson’s Towing.
