Angela Dominguez, 27, Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on I-80 near Minooka in Grundy County

Minooka, Illinois (January 5, 2018) – A 27-year-old Bradley woman was fatally injured in a rear-end collision in Minooka, Grundy County Friday afternoon.

The deadly crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. Friday, January 5, on I-80 in Minooka.

According to an Illinois State Police report, a 2017 Freightliner box truck, driven by a 23-year-old Waukegan man, was stopped in traffic in the eastbound lanes of I-80 when a 2005 Chrysler minivan, driven by Angela Dominguez, 27, of Bradley, rear-ended the Freightliner.

Dominguez was pronounced dead at the scene, the state police said.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The collision caused all lanes of I-80 eastbound over Ridge Road to be temporarily closed down reportedly all lanes were opened as of 5 p.m.

A report said the traffic was temporarily rerouted onto Ridge as the authorities launched an investigation into the collision.
