The Legal Claims

Missouri offers an extensive system of personal injury laws meant to protect persons who are injured through another party’s negligence. Here, though the accident may be the result of the driver’s negligence, the damage may be lessened when considering the passengers’ own negligent act–i.e. the failure to wear a safety belt. The passengers seeking compensation will be entitled to payment for any lost wages, damaged property, and any medical bills incurred as a direct result of the accident.
