Amanda Knifong, David Hays and Kathryn Mitchell Injured in Johnson County Crash on NE 200th Road

Johnson County, Missouri (February 20, 2018) – Three people were injured in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Monday evening in Johnson County, according to MSHP.

The crash happened on Northeast 200th Road just west of Northeast 521st Road at around 5:35 p.m. Monday, February 19.

According to troopers, Amanda L. Knifong,  31, of Marshfield was driving a 2011 Ford Escape westbound on NE 200th Road when an eastbound 2005 Dodge Caravan, driven by Kathryn D. Mitchell, 52, of Knob Noster, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Ford.

The impact caused the Ford to roll over on the right shoulder of the roadway, and the Dodge traveled off the left side of the road.

Knifong and her passenger, David N. Hays, 50, of Calhoun, were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Mitchell was treated for minor injuries at Western Missouri.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Tip Top Towing.
