On Thursday, September 13, Allen Muenzer, a 56-year old resident of Crane, was badly injured in a motorcycle accident on Route M, south of Nixa in Christian county.
The accident occurred at approximately 1:30 PM when Robert Sissel, 77, of Nixa, failed to yield as he was executing a turn onto a private drive, striking the motorcycle Mr. Muenzer was riding and causing him to be violently thrown from the bike.
According to the official crash report Mr. Muenzer suffered serious injury and had to be rushed to Cox South Hospital via the Christian county ambulance service for life-saving medical intervention. Mr. Sissel was not harmed in the incident.
Unfortunately, Mr. Muenzer’s motorcycle was totaled in the incident and had to be towed from the scene.
No criminal charges have been brought against either party.
