Abigail Cooper Injured in Bicycle Crash with Vehicle on MO-171 in Jasper County

Jasper County, Missouri (February 28, 2018) – A Carl Junction woman was injured when a vehicle entered into her path causing her to crash her bicycle on Monday evening in Jasper County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash took place on Missouri 171 inside Airport Drive, north of Joplin at about 5:45 p.m. Monday, February 26.

A 2006 Dodge Durango driven by Cassandra R. Fountain,   28, of Oswego, Ks., was heading west on MO-171 when she failed to yield and was struck by a bicycle, ridden by Abigail J. Cooper, 25, of Carl Junction.

Cooper was transported by ambulance to mercy hospital in Joplin with minor injuries.

There were no other reported injuries from the crash.
