8 Injured in Collision Involving Senior Care Bus at Franklinville and Perkins in Woodstock in McHenry County

Woodstock, Illinois (January 11, 2018) — Eight people were injured when a senior school bus collided with an SUV in northwest suburban Woodstock Thursday morning, officials said.

The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, near Franklinville and Perkins in Woodstock.

According to McHenry County Sheriff’s office, a bus from Woodstock’s Pioneer Center, a human services organization, collided with a Hyundai Santa Fe near Franklinville and Perkins.

Eight people who were both traveling the bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

The Santa Fe had a single occupant who did not sustain injuries in the crash.

The incident remained under an investigation.
