St. Louis, Missouri (March 2, 2018) – A collision involving a school bus in north St. Louis on Friday morning sent five students to a hospital.

According to a police report, the accident occurred near the intersection of Bishop P L Scott Avenue and St. Louis Avenue.

The driver of a car, an off-duty St. Louis City paramedic, told police that he was blinded by the sun causing him to strike the school bus.

Five students from Pamoja Preparatory Academy at Cole Academy who were on the bus were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Two other students, the bus driver and the driver of the car declined treatment.

No other information was provided.

The incident is under investigation.
