Columbia, Missouri (December 9, 2017) – Several people were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries, following a multi-vehicle crash in Columbia Friday night, according to a police report.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 between Providence Road and Range Line Street.
According to the report, three cars and a tractor-trailer were involved in the crash.
Five people were injured in the crash. All five patients, including one who had life-threatening injuries, were transported to a hospital. The severity of the injuries suffered by the other four patients was not stated in the report.
Traffic backed up of miles on the road as crews cleaned up debris.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
