The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a broad system of personal injury laws meant to protect parties who are injured through another person’s negligent actions. Here, depending on a determination of fault, the person seeking compensation will be entitled to payment for any lost wages, pain and suffering, and any medical bills incurred as a result of the accident that are not a result of their own negligence. Further, the family of Mr. Norvell may have a wrongful death claim that will allow them to recover the losses he suffered before he passed, as well as their own loss of society and companionship with the deceased.
