Quincy, Illinois (January 28, 2018) — One person was taken to a hospital following a crash in the parking lot of St. Peter Catholic Church in Quincy on Saturday, Quincy police said.

The accident took place at around 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, in the parking lot of St. Peter Catholic Church in Quincy.

According to a Quincy police and medics, a man was driving a truck down Maine toward Quincy High school when he hit two signs, a telephone pole guide wire, struck a car and ended up in the parking lot.

According to a QPD police officer, the man was unconscious behind the wheel, and the driver of the car was transported to Blessing Hospital for treatment.

The extent of injuries of the victim was not immediately known.
